EdTech, a combination of “education” and “technology”, refers to hardware and software designed to enhance teacher-led learning in classrooms and improve students’ education outcomes. EdTech refers to those companies and organizations which are involved in creating educational technology. It combines computer-based training, online learning, mobile- learning, and much more.

The Indian EdTech industry is one of the largest networks of higher education institutions in the world, with ~ 275 million students enrolled in more than 1.5 million schools and ~ 39,000 colleges, overall presenting a lucrative opportunity for monetization and social development.
