The erstwhile Distress Debt Resolution Mechanisms including CDR/SDR/S4A had proved to be inefficient in
delivering desired results & cleansing Bank’s Balance Sheets.

IBC was introduced to replace the erstwhile mechanisms, however, it was soon found to be too aggressive, as most
resolutions under IBC were taking place close to Liquidation Value.
